Spot landings - Sunday evening

The feared storms were nowhere to be seen and the day ended with a light crosswind and perfect conditions for a round of spot landings. Take off within the 100m long deck, climb to 1000ft, switch off your engine and then turn in to land. Points were scored for landing in marked strips at the start of the deck and then the stopping distance was measured, the shorter the better!

With well organised marshals and clear instructions, the task went well. No mishaps, despite the Jury President being heard to swear lightly and hold his breath as one autogyro came in sideslipping (sideways to the direction of flight) and straightened up just enough to remain on its wheels. There is video if the wifi allows, otherwise here are some photos of the action.

As always, click on the photo to enlarge.
